What audiences do you speak for?

I usually speak to front line managers in Fortune 500 companies, government organizations and heavy emphasis on the construction industry.

What led you to this career?

I have known that I would be a speaker since I was little. I didn’t know the topic or the how but had that gut feeling. I started speaking in college and was an emcee for many events. I continued to speak, but not as a profession. Many of my events that I was speaking at, Stu was a speaker too. I knew he was the President of NSA-NT. I called him up one day and asked him to lunch. I picked his brain on how to make my speaking business a career. This led me to my NSA family.

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?

I am a huge fan of education and designations. I set a goal of three new designations a year. I am constantly taking classes and set goals to better myself. In the speaking business, I am always working on the basics and advanced techniques. I have been speaking for many years and still like I have a long way to go to satisfy who I want to become.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?

I have a great a morning routine. I set up each day and make adjustments to the week each morning. This allows me to tackle to big tasks each day and have a successful week.

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?

All my Grandparents were successful entrepreneurs and I have learned many things about business from all of them. Influences in the speaking business have been many. I have picked up many techniques from NSA members and have educated myself through books and videos.

What’s a mistake you made early on in your career, and what did you learn from it?

Just do it. Many new speakers hesitate and think they aren’t good enough or things aren’t perfect. You learn by doing, that is what makes you better.

What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?

I have many accomplishments that I am proud of, but I would say the one that stands out is technology. I was always pretty good with technology, but through Covid, I elevated my game quite a bit. I spent many hours researching and watching videos. It really took me to next the next level in how I present virtually.

What being a member of NSA-NT means to you?

NSA-NT has become my second family. I have made some great friends and received lots of valuable information. I explain it like being around a bunch of like-minded friends that just get it.

Something personal you want us to know- can be about family, a vacation, a favorite food- anything you care to share?

I have 7-year-old twins. (Boy and Girl). They are my motivation and why I work as hard as I do.
