About Karen Cortell Reisman:
Karen Cortell Reisman, speaker, author, and coffee ice cream eater, is president of Speak For Yourself®, and she’s had a blast speaking in North America, Germany and Israel.
She speaks & consults on how to ‘Speak For Yourself’ to make even more money.
Karen also puts on a one-woman show using personal letters from her cousin, Einstein (yes … Karen is related to that guy with bad hair) where you’ll get a “relative’s theory” about how to handle life’s craziness.

- Karen has one bachelor’s degree, one master’s degree, one cow named Bliss, one daughter, one son, and one husband.
- Karen was rejected as her high school’s Valedictorian due to a B in Home Economics caused by her lumpy blueberry muffins that leaned to the left. But, she hasn’t stopped speaking since.

What audiences you speak for?
Senior level professionals for 1:1 consulting. A variety of industries for workshops/programs/keynotes that include Construction, Financial, Tech, and Medical/Dental.
What led you to this career?
A love of speaking and the desire to run my own business.
What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?
Possibly creating a new keynote.
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Creating a schedule in advance… and sticking to it!
Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?
My mentor is Naomi Rhode – a class act. I have many friends that I respect in this industry. I am always learning from them.
What’s a mistake you made early on in your career, and what did you learn from it?
Due to having several GREAT clients I did minimal outbound marketing. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
Speaking at an international press conference at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel.

I’m an Oscar Awards Fanatic. My Oscar buddies place a ballot annually in 18 categories. Last year I was 18 out of 18. Unheard of!
