Barry is the former COO of a nationwide broadcasting company, a former college president, and was appointed by three governors to serve in their administration overseeing private higher education. He was elected to an unprecedented three terms as chairman of the Florida State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities.
He is the founder and senior partner of two professional services firms and has been a featured speaker at corporate and association conferences, as well as, speaking for teams in the NFL and Major League Baseball. This body of work has brought him broad recognition including, the Family Ambassador Award from Family First, home of Super Bowl coach Tony Dungy’s “All Pro Dad” initiative.
Barry has been an NSA member since 1998 and has held every elected position at the chapter and national level. He currently serves as the chairman of the board of NSA. He is a CSP and CPAE but considers his most important work as husband to Janice for 44 years, and father of two sons who are exceptional community leaders. And he is Papa to two sweet granddaughters.
