Rex C. Houze

Rex began speaking on leadership, motivation and personal development as an avocation when he was 27. Four years later he discovered he could get paid for speaking and did so for the next 30+ years. 

Being a pack rat, Rex saved all his speech notes and recordings, which came in handy when he decided to launch his leadership development product line in 2003. Those speech notes and recordings have been converted into six books and seven productivity improvement and leadership development programs that are delivered by leadership development specialists throughout the U.S. 

He is one of the rare people who has repurposed his speaking career into a business that reaches more people per year than he could reach with a classic speaking career. And, he doesn’t have to board airplanes, rent cars, or spend nights away from home.

 Rex set a goal in 1972 to read a personal, professional, or leadership development book a week and has been true to that goal for 52 consecutive years. Most years he’ll read 60 – 70 books.

 Even though he doesn’t actively seek personal speaking engagements he has been a long time member of NSA-NT for professional development.

About Linda Swindling JD, CSP, CPAE
