The How To’s of Podcasting to Accelerate Your Speaking Business!
Thom Singer, CSP has been a professional speaker for nearly 15 years. In 2014 he started podcasting as a way to reach and learn from smart people. His show was never intended to last 7 years or be a money-making venture. His podcast became a major part of his marketing plan for his speaking. He hosts several podcasts for companies and associations as their “outside host”. As he grows this “Hosting Offering”, he has found that his speaking and emcee experience has positioned him to monetize his speaking skills in a new medium.
Thom will share the ups and downs of seven years of hosting shows and the ways speakers can use podcasting to promote their business. Many mistake podcast monetization as just selling ads. This is not the way he has made money from his podcast. From his first year, Thom has received between one to three speaking or emcee opportunities from those he met from his podcast. While no single year holds a huge number, over the lifetime of his podcasting it has real impact to the bottom line of his business.
