Labs will be held at Hackberry Creek Country Club, 1901 W Royal Ln, Irving, Texas 75063 and will usually be the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 6:30 – 9:30 PM except as noted in lab info below.

Lab – September 13, 2017 – Brian French, Harmonic Learning, LLC

Times: 6:30-8:30 (speaking time is 100 minutes with 10 minute break)

Program: Engaging Interactions

Engage your audience with fun and meaningful interactions, allowing them to personalize the content in a way that creates a “Sticky” (memorable) experience. As a presenter, you can move from a sage to an engage mindset, as you move the audience from a passive to an active mindset where they stop watching and instead start discovering the content. In this session, you will learn 8 tips of developing and delivering interactive presentations. Discover how everyday objects can become powerful content retention aids through games and activities that enlighten and entertain. You will enjoy a hands-on learning experience where you will engage with other participants to explore the topic and discover the key learnings.

Session Objectives:

By the end of the session, the participant should be able to:

  • Detail how interactions increase participant engagement and content retention
  • List various types of interactions and how different types of people engage

Program: Grow your Speaking Business through the Power of Podcasting

In today’s content-heavy environment, speakers, trainers, and presenters need a competitive advantage that will increase their visibility, showcase their expertise, and establish them as the go-to authority.

Podcasting provides that advantage – Ready-made information that’s on-demand, easily accessible, and within easy reach.

Podcasting is the wave of the future. And, to be relevant and in the future, you just can’t miss the opportunity.

In this lab, not only will you will get an answer to one of the most common questions circulating among speaker, business owner, and entrepreneurial circles – “Should I start a podcast?”, we’ll also cover:

  • Mistakes new podcasters should avoid
  • Why businesses need a podcast
  • How to launch strong and capture momentum
  • How to build your list and get gigs from day one of your show
  • The different ways to monetize your show

And probably the most important take-away of the lab, HOW YOU CAN CAPITALIZE ON THE business-building benefits of podcasting, by NOT having a podcast.
