Our NSA North Texas Labs are learning workshops conducted during a weekday evening. Less formal than the chapter meeting, they allow members and candidates to gather together to network and learn from the evening’s speaker on topics about the professional speaking business.
All 2016-2017 Labs are free for All-Access Passholders and $27 for all others.
Labs will be held at Hackberry Creek Country Club, 1901 W Royal Ln, Irving, Texas 75063 and will usually be the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 6:30 – 9:30 PM.

About the Speaker:
Rex began speaking on leadership, motivation and personal development as an avocation in 1968. In 1972 he discovered that he could get paid for speaking and has been doing so for the last 44 years. In those 44 years he has conducted close to 4,000 speeches, seminars, workshops and training sessions to more than 150,000 people.
Being a pack rat, Rex saved all his speech notes which came in handy when he decided to launch his leadership development product line in 2003. He organized his speech notes and transcriptions of speeches into seven major categories. In September 2003 he launched his “Coaching for Improved Performance & Results” program, followed by “Improving Performance & Results” (personal & organizational productivity, “Getting Results Through Others,” “Natural Selling Process,” “Creating a Successful Life,” “Improving Organizational Results,” and “Leading with Passion & Perseverance.”
His programs are marketed and facilitated, by professional consultants throughout the U.S., to businesses to improve their communication, collaboration, accountability and teamwork.
Rex grew up in Ohio and got to Texas as quick as he could (1974). He and Joyce will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in March 2017. They have two grown children and three granddaughters ages 15, 12 and 9. His hobbies include tennis and reading business books (at least 50 a year for the last 44 years).

Sherrie Wilson is an author, speaker and motivator who inspires and serves through leadership.
Sherrie Wilson was the first female firefighter-paramedic by the Dallas Fire Rescue Department in 1977 while simultaneously building Emergency Management Resources, LLC. Sherrie currently serves as the Founder, President and CEO of Emergency Management Resources LLC, (EMR) and FireHouseCommunications.com (FHC). EMR specializes in emergency healthcare and OSHA training, emergency equipment and services such as inspections, consulting and other lifesaving equipment such as AEDs. AED programs include: equipment, web-based tracking of equipment, medical direction, third party inspections and training. EMR provides all levels of American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advance Life Support (Adult & Pediatric) training, a wide variety of OSHA safety and health training and leadership courses.
Sherrie has served on the editorial and advisory boards for Industrial Fire World Magazine, Emergency Medical Services Magazine, Texas EMS Magazine, and as a reviewer of EMS text for both Mosby Lifeline and Brady Publishing. She has more than fifty published Fire, EMS and Emergency incident related articles, publications and conference presentations. She has authored two manuals, Rescue Team Training, published by Emergency Management Resources and Medical Terminology, published by Fun Ed Inc. Sherrie recently completed Faith on Fire a bout about her life and career as the first female firefighter, paramedic in Dallas Fire Rescue Department.
Sherrie has also served in a number of leadership roles within the American Heart Association including ECC Committee member, International Volunteer Trainer in Russia, India, Mexico and England. Sherrie currently serves as a Basic Life Support (BLS) , Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) Regional Faculty.
Sherrie received a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Hawthorne University and completed Paramedic training at the University Texas Health Science Center, Dallas, Texas. Sherrie is a graduate of Landmark Education Leadership and Communication Programs. Sherrie serves as adjunct Health & Safety faculty for Texas A&M University, Texas Engineer Extension Service (TEEX). Sherrie received her Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming from the Association for Integrative Psychology.
Sherrie has experience in the Medical, Healthcare, Education, Communication, Leadership, Neuro Dynamics and Safety arenas. Sherrie performs one hour, half day or full day workshops and keynotes.

Program: The power of surveys, and how to be a survey power user.
Surveys are useable for multiple purposes, from capturing email addresses, to collecting pre-keynote input and post-keynote feedback, and to conducting genuine primary research of your topic and your lane. The results can help you refresh your topic. Furthermore, it costs absolutely nothing!

About the Speaker:

She has also done time as a Stand-up Comedian, most recently invited to open for Caroline Rhea and Kevin Nealon.
Christa continues to work on an assortment of diverse projects, including various web series and voice-over work. Her short-film performances are being shown to great reviews at Film Festivals across the US.
Originally, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, she now resides in Dallas, Texas with one thriving agency, two perfect children and a collection of brutal and entertaining careers.
